Adoption Application

Are you ready to start showering one of our old dogs with hugs, kisses, and embarrassing pajamas? You’ve come to the right place!

Unlike some groups, we believe that old dogs are way more adaptable than most people realize and that they can be happy in a variety of different family types. We do require that at least one member of the adopting household be over 21 years of age - sorry, someone has to be a (responsible) adult!

We will adopt temperament-appropriate old dogs to households with respectful children; not all dogs will qualify (and not all children either!). A fenced yard may be required on a case by case basis, depending on your housing situation and the needs of the specific old dog in question.

Basically, in most cases, we will try to work with you; however, we do reserve the right to refuse any adoption, at any time, if we feel it would not be in the dog’s best interests.

Our adoption fee is currently $200. All of our old dogs will be spayed / neutered, unless our vet determines that they are not physically healthy enough to undergo the procedure. They will be up to date on vaccines / heartworm preventative and will come with an initial supply of any medications they’re taking.

If you’d like to proceed, please fill out the Adoption Application HERE, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Foster Application

Are you ready to help an old dog live their best life, while waiting on their forever family? If so, we’d love to hear from you! Placing old dogs in foster homes gives us more room at the home sanctuary and enables us to save even more dogs from our local area shelters.

As an old dog foster, your job is to provide love, cuddles, toys, food, and adventures. We will cover all medications / vet care for the dog in question. Fosters do need to live within driving distance of Conyers, GA, as you’ll need to continue visiting our regular vet’s office (Conyers Animal Hospital) and will need to bring the old dog to local adoption events from time to time.

We’re not going to lie - fostering an old dog might wind up being a long-term commitment. We can’t make any guarantees regarding how long it will take your foster dog to be adopted - you may even wind up being their “forever family” in the end after all. If you feel like you’re up to the challenge, please fill out our Foster Application HERE, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
